Please can anyone ID this tune. It's from a Medicine8 DJ set at Space, dated January 2003. Absolutely awesome stuff...

Female, 'We Want Your Soul'-esque vocal loop:
'When there's love that brings you down, don't ever let them know. However hard they hurt you, don't ever let them know. Hold your head up'.

Background male vocal:
'Hold your head up high, hold your head up high, hold your head HIGH!'

I need this track.

Hi Steve,

Got this - it's an absolute monster.

It's on Arthur Baker's "Whacked" Recordings and it's called "Hold your Head Up" by Arthur Argent (geddit).

Heard Erol Alkan first drop it at Sankey's about a year and half a go and the whole place went bonkers. :twitch2:

I need to dig this out Stevie.

OK... got my Soulseek on. It seems to be the Soulwax mix I was after, if anyone's interested. Didn't know they'd actually done any decent remixes.

Their remixes of Shadow (6days) and Sugababes (Round,Round) are bloody marvelous.

Didn't like the Six Days remix. Although I do have a rather splendid promo of it, that I can hopefully pimp off to some crazy Japanese kid on E-Bay for an extortionate amount. :grngreedy

But then, you loved it when they dropped that Dolly Parton tune at Felix the Housecat, so who believes what you think?... ;)

Fucking right I did!! The chorus of 9-5 by Dolly Parton is ace.

Agreed. Not feeling the Soulwax remix of Six Days.

Hahaha... very good. Even though he is a leather-trousered, curmudgeonly old cunt.
