You can only vote for one option so I ended up plumping for Kid Kenobi out of sheer curiosity (biggest thing in Australia's massive breaks scene, people say he's amazing etc, etc) but would also like to vote for Switch and interested in Justin Drake.

Think Elite Force should be in there as well. Thought he was pretty amazing at the UG Halloween Special. Would like to see him back.

More thoughts later

What about getting Krafty Kuts back, doing a breaks set and then a hip-hop/funk type shindig in the living room?

Zabiela's return? Friendly, Stantons, Autobots.

Just listening now, lets hope its rocking, and if it is, get them down.

Also, I didn't know Solid Groove was one half of Switch. Production skills!

Finally, Pete Tong doesn't know what he's talking about, he claims 'Get Ya Dub On' was a missy bootleg, but it isn't at all, its just got a similar title.

Tracklisting does look pretty darn exciting.

Will listen tomorrow.

ps. Assume its not a Q-Tip accapella over Loose Lips but rather the bootleg that is cunningly named "Loose Tips".

But maybe they've done it the hard way.

Or done something different with it.

It probably ranks as my favourite bootleg either way.

Shall I stop rambling now.

OK then.

Its pretty damn fantastic so far.

They do use "Loose Lips" separately by the way, but was distracted by a phone call just as I was trying to work out whether it was "Loose Tips" or indeed just "Breathe and Stop (Accapella)". Suspect the former but appreciate that noone in their right mind cares.

Any mix with a Saul Williams vocal in it gets 3 gold stars from me tho.

Does anyone know whether thats the Trevor Loveys track or whether they just dropped a vocal sample over it (its the vocal about the pact with aliens and communicating through words like "ShoNuff")

The Kaori "Good Life" thing is also warming my cockles as we speak

Seconded.

btw. Disappointed to say this but the mix dropped off a bit for me when they went in to hip-hop. Thought it was going to be a bit more imaginative, but just dropped into fairly standard hip-hop set for a bit, without that many great tracks til Blaze of Glory say. The flow was lost a bit, for me, and with so many people on both sides of the divide integrating hip-hop and house so successfully atm (cf: Radio Slave, DJ Dexter etc.) I was expecting something a little bit more exciting.

Picked up again later tho.

Totally agree. The hip-hop section was ill advised. All they did was play instrumentals of the most obvious tracks of the moment (mostly Neptunes and Timbaland stuff), without doing anything with them. They should have at least played some AV8 tracks (I remember Basement Jaxx doing this in an old E-mix and that was class), or even just the vocal versions.

I won't even mention the Ironside sample over Blaze Of Glory.

Their well-deserved reputation as producers precedes their reputation as DJ's. I don't know anyone that's heard them DJ apart from the E-mix, and I get the impression that that didn't wholly reflect what they'd play out in a club anyway.

Hey... I wasn't 'discussing' Craig! Merely name-dropping.

Ivan Smagghe aka Blackstrobe, would be awesome too.
