If you haven't heard already, Urban Gorilla is ending. The final UG will be our NYE celebration Upstairs @ DQ. I've been asked to write a goodbye blurb, but in the end, it's just going to be a list of thankyous. Sorry if you feel that's indulgent, but we wanted to recognise some of the people who've made the night what it is, including:

All of our resident DJs past & present, each of whom has given more to the night than amazing DJ sets (but we're happy they did that too).

Anyone who did any work on the night, from the man mountain that is Mike Clipboard (who really deserves a thankyou of his own) through to anyone who's ever handed out a flyer. Particular warriors of their era include Finn and Abby, Pedram, Mat, Toby, Andy and the heroic Phil (along with everyone else who helped us completely strip and redecorate the interior of Charles St). Not forgetting Leanne, Helen, Laura & recently Caroline who sat (often cold and shivering) at the front doors for countless hours taking ticket money.

Everyone who's ever played. You were amazing, and made us dance and smile and stuff. Major thanks, of course, to our superresidents Evil Nine and Tayo (who, although he hasn't played a lot lately, did a lot to help establish the night) and people like Elite Force, James Zabiela and Meat Katie, who were superresidents in all but name.

Anyone who's been involved in décor (Olly and Notty built a fair bit) design and creating the look of the night (Jim & Dougie recently). There have been some cracking flyers, from the early random cartoons through to the amazing recent designs by Karl.

All the venues who ever hosted the night, and all of their staff (especially people who helped with sound like Olly, Chris and Waq). A special mention goes to Scotty and Adele, who back in the .zero days, did more to help the night and us personally than most venue owners would consider doing. A special exception goes to Neil at Brown St, who was an arse and banned Mark from the venue except when UG was on.

Not to forget everyone who's ever hosted an afterparty. We hope you and your property have nearly recovered.

All the people who've put up with us taking over shared houses with promotional material, boring them with behind the scenes nonsense, roping them in to doing stuff, and waking them up in the middle of the night. Our girlfriends mostly, but other people too.

Anyone else who helped, who might have been forgotten, or not mentioned by name.

And finally, obviously but truthfully, everyone who ever came and had fun at the night. You made it what it was, and we couldn't have done it without you.

We hope you all feel like you've been involved in something special. We know we do.
