Way back in 1998 three students helped set up a well known d&b and hip hop night at Sheffield Union. Three years later, they went on to set up another night called Urban Gorilla. These nights went on to become two of the greatest success stories of Sheffield clubbing. We know that both nights hold a great deal of fond memories for a good number of people. And so we have decided to reunite the UG residents, and the original *** residents (for the first time in 6 years!) for a little trip down memory lane. The venue (The Earl) is particularly fitting as it holds some special memories for us (we held 3 amazing events there just before starting up at .zero). Expect to hear all the biggest UG (2001-2008) breaks / techno / electro / house, plus drum & bass / hip hop / jungle circa 1998 - 2002. |
